Small questions with big impact
“How are you today? Are you frustrated, feeling left alone or can you also see the positive sides of the current crisis?” With these questions you can increase the trust, openness and sense of belonging of your colleagues and employees. A study by EY in 2019, analyzed that 40% of respondents feel physically or emotionally left alone in the workplace. This feeling has been further increased by the current physical separation. A first step to create a greater sense of belonging is an easy check-in. At the beginning of each meeting ask your colleagues and employees how he/she is doing today and offer your help. Show them that you are a team despite the physical distance. Sometimes the smallest gestures have the greatest effect. Give it a try!
